PsyDix.org is a platform for psychological tests. It allows mental health professionals to perform psychological tests digitally. You can create, administer, and score tests automatically—no software installation required. The scoring is also available as a PDF file, and multiple tests can be combined to create progress charts.
You can enter your testing code at https://psydix.org/t/. Once you have entered your code, your personal test or test sequence will open automatically.
If you prefer, you can also go straight to the test by adding your code at the end of the URL https://psydix.org/t/.
The link is also available at the very top of our home page through the button Enter Code.
You can choose from the following psychological tests:
You can explore our psychological tests in greater detail here.
If there are any other test you’d like to use, please contact us. We are happy to work with you.
At the moment, PsyDix.org and our psychological tests are available in English and German, with additional languages available for the SDQ. We are continuously looking to expand our range of tests and languages. Please contact us if you have any questions about the future availability of measures in other languages.
You can also suggest additional languages or tests by contacting our Support team or logging into your account and going to Therapists > My suggestions.
Yes, PsyDix.org is open to all researchers, clinicians, and mental health practitioners. That includes therapists, but also intake professionals at clinics, trained counsellors, research assistants, and many more.
The only requirement for using PsyDix.org is that, when you sign the user agreement and administer the tests, you must be acting in a professional, rather than personal, capacity. Please note also that the appropriate use and interpretation of any psychological test requires some training in the theory and practice of psychometric assessment.
Yes! We at PsyDix.org believe that greater availability of validated, reliable testing methods increases the quality of care and research for everyone. That is why we are happy to make a certain number of psychological tests available to researchers and/or students free of charge. Please contact us to discuss your research or thesis proposal and how we can help.
Note, however, that we can only offer licenses to use psychological measures and scoring through PsyDix.org. If you would like to use the measures outside our PsyDix.org environment or score them manually, you will need to contact the rights holder for each individual measure.
If you do use PsyDix.org for research or dissertation purposes, we always appreciate being mentioned in the final publication.
Detailed information on our handling of patient data and our measures for data protection can be found in several places. One is our page on the specific steps we take to safeguard our systems and hardware. These steps are known as technical and organizational measures (or TOM) in the terminology of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), with which we are compliant.
Further information on the specifics of our data processing can be found in our data processing agreement. This agreement sets out the scope of how we collect and process data. The DPA is signed in your personal account, accessible through the Therapists > My Data section of our page.
In addition, we set out our practices in our privacy policy. By using our services, you are agreeing to both the privacy policy and our terms and conditions.
Collectively, these documents set out how we comply with the requirements of HIPAA and GDPR. In particular, we collect no identifying data and do not have access to any information that could identify your patient(s). As such, we process only de-identified health information, which is not restricted under HIPAA. As a result, your practice can use our service with complete confidence. However, you must still ensure that within the context of your office, your procedures for testing, sharing test results, and communicating with others fulfill HIPAA and any other applicable requirements.
No, PsyDix.org has no knowledge of your patients’ email addresses and cannot save them.

While it is possible to host PsyDix.org on your own server, this is generally not necessary or advisable. Our servers meet the highest specifications, including certifications and standards, and we have instituted considerable measures to ensure data integrity and safety. By contrast, hosting PsyDix.org on external servers increases administrative burden and makes testing more error-prone. If you would nevertheless prefer to host PsyDix.org locally, please contact our Support team to discuss the details.
Yes, PsyDix.org offers a comprehensive API. Our API documentation (in German) contains everything you need to know in order to successfully automate your psychological testing. Please contact our Support team if you would like more English-language information on automating the import of test scores.
Yes, you can conduct tests with any common web-enabled device.
We have optimized PsyDix.org to require only minimal system resources. This means that you can administer tests using any commercially available device on which you can access the internet. The following illustration shows PsyDix.org on a 9" tablet and a smartphone. You (or your patients) can choose the device that works best for each situation.

It is usually not necessary to allow specific ports in your firewall for PsyDix.org. The website is reached through HTTPS (port 443), just like most other websites. If you can access this site, then you can access the tests on PsyDix.org.
If DNS queries are resolved through port 53 (as is usually the case), then that port should also be enabled.
It can also be helpful to enable port 80 in case a user tries to access the webpage without HTTPS. If the port is enabled, the user will automatically be redirected to the encrypted version of the website via HTTPS.

Multiple tests for the same patient can be combined under one patient code. Patient codes are ten-character strings beginning with P.
They allow you to use the following functions:
Log in to the Therapists section and click on Patient….

The option + New… pops up.
When you click on + New…, a random new patient code (PABCDEFGHI) is generated:

Once you have created a patient code, you can use the input field Patient… to search existing codes:

To assign a patient code to tests that have already been completed, please go to Therapists and log in to your account. Hover your mouse over the desired test until the pencil icon appears. Clicking this icon will open a dialog window which will allow you to select a new patient code from the list of available codes. Confirm your selection by clicking Change patient code assignment.
You can now create progress charts and get a comprehensive overview of patient tests.
Patient codes can be activated and deactivated as necessary to prevent your dashboard from becoming cluttered. Deactivated patient codes are shown crossed out.
To activate or deactivate a patient code, proceed as follows:
The dashboard displays both the patient codes and any associated test codes as crossed out.
Patient codes can be deleted in order to free up space on your dashboard:

Hover the mouse pointer over the patient code and the delete icon () will appear.
This action also deletes all tests and results linked to the patient code.
If you have accidentally deleted a patient code, it can be restored through your account. Go to Therapists > Restore and select the relevant patient code from the list. It can then be restored by clicking Restore.
Please note that if the list contains deleted test codes as well as patient codes, the patient codes will be at the end of the list.
If there are at least two unanswered questionnaires associated with a patient code, the link start all is displayed. Clicking on it presents the questionnaires one after the other, with no intermediate steps.
If you select all unanswered questionnaires associated with a patient code for sending by email, you will receive a single link based on the patient code, and the tests will be displayed in sequence. (It is still possible to create individual links by selecting the tests individually.) Please refer to send for more information on sending tests by email.
If you enter the patient code instead of a test code at https://psydix.org/t/, PsyDix.org will automatically present all unanswered questionnaires associated with the patient code one after the other. For more information on this option, see share.
Alternatively, you can share the patient code directly as part of the URL. To do so, simply add the patient code at the end of the URLhttps://psydix.org/t/.
After logging in to your Therapist account, follow these steps:
Please note that two completed tests must be associated with the patient code in order for the download icon to appear.
If multiple tests are associated with the same patient code, the scoring automatically contains a visual representation of a patient’s assessment scores over time.
PsyDix.org has no way of tracking which patient receives which code. Ask your patient which code you assigned them or which code they received by email. You can then cross-check this code against the codes listed in your personal account in the Therapists section of PsyDix.org.
PsyDix.org has no way of knowing who answers a questionnaire. Since a questionnaire cannot be answered more than once, you can ask your patients whether the code worked or send them an alternative code and ask for feedback about which code worked. You can then use this information to cross-check and correct your files.
Log in to your account in the Therapists section of PsyDix.org.

Click on New Test.
This opens a list of available psychological tests.

Click on a psychological test to select it.
The newly created psychological test will appear highlighted in light green.

New psychological tests remain active for one year. If a psychological test is not answered within a year, it expires.
You can create the tests available to you each month in advance and then have them answered at a later date.
Log in to your personal account in the Therapists section of PsyDix.org and enter the code of the psychological test (ABC in the example below) into the search box.

The interface will display all tests that begin with your entry (ABC).
If you have created a psychological test by accident or no longer need a test result, you can delete the psychological test.
Log in to your personal account in the Therapists section of PsyDix.org.
Hover the mouse into the cell with the test code until the delete icon () appears.

If you click on the icon, you will be asked whether you really want to delete the psychological test.

If you are sure, click Delete to delete the psychological test.
You have two options:
You can match individual tests to patients using the test code.
Make a note of the code shown (ABCDEFGHIJ, for example) and store it with the patient’s records.
If you want to administer multiple tests to a patient, you can group them using a patient code. Please refer to the section on patient codes for more details.
A common way of matching patients with tests is to create a list of patient codes and then write the name of the patient next to the code. This list can then be stored in your records.
No, that would allow PsyDix.org to draw conclusions about the identity of your patients. For reasons of confidentiality, only you can match any identifying information to the randomly generated test or patient code. This allows PsyDix.org to comply with both HIPAA and GDPR.
For more detailed information, please refer to How do I match psychological tests to my patients?
With PsyDix.org, there are three basic ways to administer psychological tests—on your device, on a patient’s device through an email link, and on a patient’s device through a code shared with the patient. First, go to the Therapists section of PsyDix.org and log in to your personal account. Then choose which method you would like to use:

To administer a test on site in your practice or clinic, use the device on which you want your patient to complete the assessment. On that device, log in to your personal account in the Therapists section of PsyDix.org, making sure to deselect the option “Stay logged in”. Once you are logged in, click on Start (see previous screenshot). This opens the test in the browser of the device, which you can then give to the patient.

To send a psychological test by email, tick the checkbox next to the envelope.
By ticking multiple tests at once, you can send the tests at the same time.

The test is highlighted in orange and the send symbol () appears on the button Send Test.
Clicking on this button opens your email client (such as Outlook or Thunderbird) with an email template that contains the link(s) to the test(s).

When you send this email to the patient, they can answer the questionnaire(s) using the link(s) in the email.

Using the email function of PsyDix.org requires a standard email program—such as Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, or similar—to be set as handler for mailto: links.
For additional information, you can consult your browser’s help function or the following websites:
You can administer psychological tests with PsyDix.org by sharing a test code or patient code with your patient.

At home, the patient can then visit PsyDix.org and click on the white button Enter Code.

The patient can also go directly to https://psydix.org/t/ and enter the code there.

Your patient will be directed to the appropriate questionnaire(s) and can now complete the test(s).

Yes, patients can answer questionnaires and complete tests at home. To do so, they must receive either a link or a test code/patient code. For more details, please see: How do I administer a psychological test?
Yes, several patients can go through different tests at the same time. This is possible even with only one therapist account.
You have two options:
Proceed as described under send.
Then, use your email program to schedule delayed sending. Instead of clicking Send in the last step, follow the correct steps for your email program:
Outlook: Delay or schedule sending email messages.
Thunderbird: Install the add-on Send Later. Then use Ctrl + Shift + Return to send the email. This keystroke combination opens a dialog window in which you can set the sending date and time.
If you want the email to be sent at the specified time even if the email program is closed or offline, you can use services such as:
If you need a paper copy, you can print it out as follows:

The print… dialog will open, and you can use it to print the test as usual. After the patient has completed the paper questionnaire, you can then transfer your patient’s answers to the electronic questionnaire for scoring.
If you or a patient have clicked Done, but the answers to the questionnaire have not been saved, the most likely reason is that required questions were left out.

Answer the questions highlighted in red. In the case of extensive questionnaires, you may have to scroll up.

Once all questions have been answered, the Done button turns green and you can save the questionnaire.

The message above appears once you have successfully saved the test.
Log in to your personal account in the Therapists section.

Select the test you wish to score, and click on evaluate.

You will see the automatically calculated scoring of the questionnaire. (The results are presented differently depending on the test.)
First, score the test.

Then, click on Download PDF.
Go to scoring and scroll down.

Since there are many different regulations governing how psychological testing is billed and reimbursed, we cannot offer a simple answer for every case. For general questions, we refer you to the reimbursement information page of the American Psychological Association (APA) as well as the associated billing and coding guide (2024). For more specific questions, contact your patient’s insurance provider.
Log into your personal account in the Therapists section of PsyDix.org. In the main menu, go to the item Test manuals. There, the corresponding test manuals are linked to the respective psychological tests with information on implementation, scoring, and interpretation.
If you are satisfied with PsyDix.org and want to conduct more than five tests a month, you can book a paid package. We offer a number of different packages depending on your testing needs and preferred payment schedule. You can find a list of package options under pricing.
You can start using your booked tests as soon as we receive your payment. You may need to refresh your personal account in the Therapists section to show the updated packages.
You can cancel a package until midnight of the last day of its term in Central European Time. Unless it is cancelled before midnight on its last day of validity, your package will automatically be extended for another month or year, depending on your purchase option.
To prevent your subscription being renewed automatically, buy your preferred package and then immediately cancel it. You can then use all the tests in your package until its last day of validity. The package will not be renewed automatically, and you will need to purchase another package if you would like to add more tests.
Go to Therapists > My data > Booking history and click manage
Click the option Cancel.
If you have used up the maximum number of tests allowed in the package you purchased, you have several options:
